Bärbucha – Kombucha Café & Fermenterei, as the name suggests, is made up of two departments which are seemingly separate, but which are unified by the love for all things fermented.
Kombucha is definitely one big part of it - for that reason we carry over 20 different varieties of our Bärbucha Kombucha and we offer Kombucha Tastings (in the form of Flights).
We also have in stock all things needed for Kombucha Home Brewing, like jars, teas, cultures, etc. And we offer Kombucha Workshops, both in English and in German.
The Second big part is the one with our other fermented foods, like Lacto-fermented Vegetables, Pickles, and other fermented goodies like Water Kefir, Milk Kefir, Kvass, or even Fermented Soda.
Hence the Fermenterei (or Fermentery in English).
Since we offer many different fermented foods and drinks at our place, we thought it would be a good idea to share more information about them - i.e how we make them, few details about the ingredients that we use, and also about the benefits of fermented foods in general.
